This film blew me away with its honest and unabashed look at monogamy. Michelle Williams is stunning ( as always) in her depiction of a young married woman who had married her best friend instead of her lover (which many of us do in our first marriages) Seen from a mature woman's viewpoint, I thought Polley addressed some real issues surrounding marriage, love and infidelity.

Great insight to how sweet and tender inner workings of a relationship can be.

I'm still thinking about this masterpiece. Oscar worthy performances from Michelle Williams and Seth Rogen ( who's a revelation here). Writer/director Sarah Polley also deserves another Oscar nom for her screenplay! Go see it!!

Sarah Polley just gets it. Take This Waltz isn't a conventional Hollywood love story. It mirrors life.. There are no quick resolutions, not everything in life has a happy ending. The nudity in the film isn't gratuitous, it's just there.. like it would be in real life. There are moments in this film I would consider the best of the summer.. The swimming pool scene, the scene on the scrambler, the shower scene .. These are moments you look at and in some note relate to. Michele Williams performance as Margo is spot on, and Seth Rogan is actually not annoying. In a summer filled with Avengers and the usual summer blockbusters, Take This Waltz actually appeals to the over 30 crowd. I would call this one of the best movies of 2012 so far.

I'd watch anything with Michelle Williams in.
