Moorhead and Benson don’t overlook the more amusing aspects of the scenario . . . . And the duo deliver shocks, scares and a resonant payoff.

While it offers some gripping and/or darkly beautiful images, it's ultimately more about ideas than spectacle, proving (like every previous film by this team) that you don't need a gigantic amount of money to create an engrossing work of science fiction and/or fantasy.

Synchronic is an interesting, if standard, drama that gets by on the strength of Anthony Mackie's performance and a strong third act.

The film is not to point out as one of the best of this century but its honesty is in its defense, the fact that it does not abuse the special effects and that it does not bother to give a moral speech about drugs. Not to mention more.

It was alright but I was expecting more suspense than what this film ultimately offered. It didn't really get interesting until around the last 40 minutes or so. Up until that point, it was pretty slow.
