That Sweetwater is so generic doesn't prevent it from being intermittently entertaining.

Ed Harris is way over the line, but it's always a pleasure to watch and that's all I can say about this western...

Fresh approach on a stale genre...definitely no great movie but fun watching mainly because of the odd characters...as usual with this kind of movies far better than what the critics say...and well...the audience can't be helped anyway...if the makers had dared a little bit more than just doing a revenge movie my rating would have been more favorable

Ed Harris was just incredible. He was amazing in this, great dialogue, he chewed scenery like nobody's business. He makes the film worth watching.

The characters aren’t the only things painted in broad strokes. Sweetwater is rife with gauche symbolism and imagery.
