Lots of people compared this with Salo, but I don't find it near as graphic. It's mostly kind of gross and extremely funny, if you're into this kinda weird shit (which I am). The leading lady is smoking hot. I'm sure the scene of the grown woman doing a very scintillating dance for a few boys no older than 10 will rile a few of you up in one way or another! Watch if you also like: John Waters older stuff and, sure, why not, Salo

Poignant and unsettling. In one movie, Makavejev delivers massive blows to the skulls of societal extremes. Capitalism and Socialim; Catholic thou-shalt-nottery and hippie man-needs-no-law ideals are equally scathed. The value of life, how life should be lived, and how society can hinder the process of living are all realized through lewd satire. That's the part that you must most prepare for if you consider watching Sweet Movie. This experience comes with full nudity from both sexes, and excretion from every orifice to boot.

The film is about wanting something and doggedly pursuing it, even when you know it's bad for you--kind of like the refined sugar, candy, chocolate, and other sweet things that are fetishized in SWEET MOVIE.

Such a luck of humor...among the above spectators...It was a delightfull movie from a world that does no longer exists. Our polically correct consciousness can no longer be worried by such films. The sugar-guy was great whithout mentioning Hadjidakis music which is a chef d'oeuvre !
