What a masterpiece! Such a joyous, carnal, fun movie. One of the greatest ever made. Cats, severed hands, poultry, horseshoe art! I dare you to watch it without having a big smile on your face.

Film emouvant de Jean Vigo qui nous montre un couple de nouveaux maries qui s'embarquent sur la peniche l'Atalante qui longe les quais de La Seine. La femme qui n'est pas habituee aÂ la vie des mariniers, commence bientot aÂ s'ennuyer et reve de visiter la grande ville. Quand elle se rend Ã?Â Paris sans prevenir son mari, elle ne pense qu'Ã?Â lui. Quant Ã?Â lui qui decide de lever l'ancre sans l'attendre, il passe ses journees sans dire un mot, a se tirer les cheveux; il est malheureux. Il y a 2 scenes emouvantes: 1.- quand il plonge dans la Seine et cherche desesperement voir son aimee sous l'eau; et la 2me, quand ils se retrouvent Ã?Â la fin du film: ils se regardent, sourient et sans dire un mot se jettent l'un sur l'autre.
