I just watched James Gunn's Super, starring Rainn Wilson, Ellen Page, Liv Tyler, Kevin Bacon, Nathan Fillion and Michael Rooker, and fuckin' loved it. It's like an indie, all adult cast version of Kick-Ass. Tons of gore, laughs, superheroes, terriible-mazing costumes, and I really, really enjoyed it. It's written and directed by the James Gunn, the guy who's doing Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, so it's cool to see his indie take on superheroes. I'd certainly recommend it.

One of the most underrated films of 2011. I think that the film deserves more than a cult following. Sure, it has a budget of a ham sandwich, but I'll just say that sandwich was tasty and worth coming back to!

It's REALLY dark sometimes a little too dark and it's a bit hit and miss but I think when it works, it works well!

simply put, this is the best version of the 'what would happen if super heroes were real' genre. Yes better than watchmen. gutsy, funny, dramatic, cool. And it doesn't get old.
