This movie tells Tennessee Williams tale with greatness and bizarre characters.

One of the most grippingly sinister movies I have ever seen. Katherin Hepburn, Montgomery Clift and Elizabeth Taylor are, as always, phenomenal. The story circles round and round something horrible at its centre right up to the frenzied conclusion. This one kept me holding my breath.

The acting is first rate all around, and Tennessee Williams' dialogue is predictably wonderful, though the film does feel a bit slow at times. The story itself is excellent. To imagine this was released in the 50's!

One of the better Tennesse Williams adaptations from play to screen, mostly due to the great atmosphere. The three leads are all great, especially Katharine Hepburn as the crazy mother of Sebastian.

Classic play turned in to an instant classic movie. The acting, wow. I truly recommend this movie.
