Another amazing Crawford classic, Palance is a freak and weird looking even as a young man. See this!

Highly suspenseful film with many unexpected twists, though it seems there were just too many twists! Joan Crawford delivers a fine performance.

Director David Miller showcases the San Francisco locations (and the Bunker Hill neighborhood in Los Angeles, with its steep staircases doubling for SF) to great effect. The moody B&W cinematography by Charles Lang takes on an inky beauty...
