This movie might not be for everybody, I realize, but it reminded me of my parents' divorce and the struggles that each of us has gone through in the process. It did an excellent job of touching my heart and bringing to life the feelings and turmoil we experienced, which also made it a very hard movie to watch. The characters seemed realistic and the story believable, with the exception of the ending. The ending might anger some of you non-cliche people out there, but I just found it heart-wrenching. It seems appropriate that a film about writers is allowed to write its own pretend happy ending when often times it doesn't happen that way. That was perhaps the most bitter part of all.

Despite a few clichÃ (C)s and some loose ends, this is a fun and romantic movie that I had a great time watching. Every performance was great as well, specifically Greg Kinnear, Lily Collins, and Logan Lerman. Josh Boone did a phenomenal job directing this sweet little movie with a great deal of passion and grace. Its clear now why this delightfully sappy romantic outing earned him the right to direct The Fault In Our Stars.

I'm not a writer, in fact I'd go far as to say that I have trouble expressing myself. So to see a movie about a film centered around a family of writers, it's pretty interesting. Of course you could say this film is so Hollywood-ified, seriously how believable is it to receive a phone call from Stepn King. And how can we ignore the cliche of the magical effects of the Thanksgiving holiday where all is forgiven. Meh, but why take it so seriously, the characters are interesting, unlike the typical romance films. The situations, the relationships of our diverse society, I think the plot highlights that although romance isn't like what it's used to beâ¦in the end it's the basics that touch us and connects us. All else is just distractions provided by modern society. We still look for that heart beatâ¦at least I still do anyway. So I found this piece adorable and heart-warming. Lily Collins was great in this, stands out much more than her role in Mortal Instruments.

A very believable and moving story line, worth watching!
