Stuck! (2009)

Beautiful young Daisy feels stuck working as a shopgirl by day and caring for her ailing mother by night. A suicide gone wrong leaves Daisy wrongly imprisoned, while the neighbor whose testimony put her away struggles with guilt. A tongue-in-cheek homage to 1950s women-in-prison films.

Hilarious and horrific, this is truly one of the best movies I've seen all year. Mena Suvari deserves mad respect, and Stephen Rea puts in an Oscar-worthy performance... most of it while stuck in a car windshield. The entire theatre was abuzz throughout-- shrieking, cheering, and tons of applause by the end. Truly exhausting in the very best way.

Amazing!!! I could not believe how well done this movie was, acting, dialogue all superb!

Gave me the same disgusting feeling I got when watching Funny Games. File under "normal people making monstrous decisions."

Horrifying and morally grotesque. More often than not, I was cringing and covering my eyes and not wanting to know how the next plot twist would unfold. Surprising ending, given my opinion was the only way the director would be able to work it out is for everyone in the film to die. One of the most challenging to watch films I've seen in a long time.
