Psychiatrist Sam Foster has a new patient, Henry Letham, who claims to be suicidal. In trying to diagnose him, Sam visits Henry's prior therapist and also finds Henry's mother -- even though Henry has said that he murdered both of his parents. As reality starts to contradict fact, Sam spirals into an unstable mental state. Then he finds a clue as to how and when Henry may try to kill himself, and races to try to stop him.

This has to be my favorite movie of all time. The characters, although in an unrealistic situation, are lovable and believable, the acting is amazing, the film style is unique and beautiful, and the soundtrack ties the entire film together and carries it forward. Although difficult to understand at first, this movie is worth at least a second viewing.

Probably my number one favorite movie, based on the emotion and sheer artistic vision in it. It's not everyone's cup of tea, for sure, but its a beautifully confusing tale woven in a kaleidoscope of emotion, memories, and mystery. Plus it has some of the best quotes I've ever encountered in a movie. Also, did I mention its beautiful? Because it is.

This movie is like an artistic religious experience... This movie leaves me speechless, wordless, mouth ajar. I don't even know what to say. Surreal, such incredible camera work. The scene transitions are the best I've ever seen in any movie, the simple visual gifts, the fractors of reality. this is a visually stunning piece of art. the Dialogue is beyond genius I can't describe this properly
