This is one of the greatest movies of all time. To those who hated it: You simply didn't understand it. Starship Troopers is an immortal classic. It's a satire, shot in the form of a Federation propaganda film. It's campy feel is deliberate. And for those of you that complained that the violence and nudity made it bad for children...... IT WAS RATED R FOR A REASON! If you don't want your kids seeing sex and violence don't show them rated R movies.

One of the most influential films I've ever seen, in my entire life. From the nazi/utopian culture, to the scale of intergalactic war to the story of just one man's struggle this film is a must see.

Cheesy and gratuitous by design, Starship Troopers is the greatest satire of jingoist propaganda ever filmed. It's nearly prophetic, and far more relevant to the paranoia of the post-9/11 world than to the peaceful optimism of 1997.
