[This] fancy, arty, sometimes abstract inquiry (the movie stops to ponder the meaning of photography) into infamous events at the Iraqi prison feels a little flimsy next to the thorough, hard-nosed reporting of Alex Gibney's Taxi to the Dark Side.

Another fine exercise in documentary film making - covering a subject all to familiar - the war on terror. This time however, director Errol Morris focuses ont he Abu Ghraib prison controversay - and specifically- the indivdiuals involved in the famous photographs taken. This is interesting and compelling documentary. Its interesting to hear from the people involved as well as get the truth - or at least a resemblence of the truth to the motivations behind each photo. I highly recommend this one!

Del mismo director de la famosa "The Thin Blue Line" y "The fog of war" ahora tenemos esta historia con los protagonistas del asqueroso caso de las fotos tomadas en la prision de Abu Ghraib en Iraq. El documental esta muy bien hecho, lleva una linea argumental que no deja aburrir a pesar de solo contar con las entrevistas en estudio y las infames fotos. Lleva a cabo su cometido de informar dejando ver el punto de vista de los soldados condenados y, a traves de ellos, la porqueria que se vive en la guerra, sea cual sea el estado todos llegan a la misma degradacion por mas que algunos digan que son mas humanitarios. Impresionantes relatos que muestran como ninios de 20 anios eran los encargados de la seguridad y de algunos interrogatorios y como no hubo un solo responsable de rango mayor por este caso. Excelente documental muy bien hecho y muy informativo.

Errol Morris contributes once again to his legacy as a defining documentarian. While the actions of these soldiers still remain inexplicable, the film brings to light larger issues that should no longer be ignored.
