The movies shows some students willing to work hard to acheive--they are great role models. The movie is historical. The events happend at Garfield High School, a few miles from where I teach.

To enjoy this movie get past the soundtrack and watch it! The story and direction by Menendez is fantastic, as a teacher guides struggling students into academic success. A well paced with plot twists separates it from the garden variety sport success movies, as well as an emotional ending that is sure to send tears to your eyes.

I loved this movie... it inspired me to try harder in math and ultimately resulted in helping me decide to be a math major...and Angel is totally my favorite
