Though Spirited comes up short as a musical, it is still pretty enjoyable. Perhaps that’s because it is just so stuffed with everything else: If one part doesn’t totally work, there’s plenty else in the four-quadrant buffet to sample.

Terrible musical. For the first time in Christmas history my entire family of 6 ppl all said we hated the movie and stopped watching it. Eventually my dad couldn't keep his mouth shut and said it was awful. I didnt want to be the first to say that but since he did I agreed. Then mom agreed. Then my sister and bro in law agreed. So we turned it off with 40 minutes to go.

For the last two hundred years, Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future have haunted people every Christmas in order to make them into better people. Now eligible for retirement Present sets his sights on one last, seemingly unredeemable, target. Spirited is an entertaining mix of musical numbers and comedy, and unless you have a particular aversion to Ryan Reynolds and/or Will Ferrell, you’ll find this makes for a fun little Christmas movie.
