Funny, original, good choreography, heartfelt. It held my attention the whole time. Good afternoon.

I appreciate the attempt to make another modern-day adaptation of the beloved Christmas Carol story and it's real nice how it all ties together with the original take, but the execution of turning this movie into a musical falls flat on its face. Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell are great actors in their own right, but they can't sing and it's a complete miscast right from the start. Hardly any of the songs are memorable and the cringe acting doesn't mix will with the theme. Was honestly expecting something a lot better.

Ferrell and Reynolds are great fun. They are tongue and cheek throughout the movie and enjoy their performances. Music is great and you feel good when it is over. A very nice on the Christmas Carol story.

"Spirited" (11/18/22, 120 mins, Apple+) stars Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds in a definitely different take on the Cmas classic. This could've been something you'd want to see annually but it's warped by Hollywood's liberal/progressive values yet again, but if you're under the age of 25 you probably don't even know or care. Anyway, the storytelling is further marred by it being a musical, and even that's forced. It's mostly karaoke-quality singing especially when done by Will and Ryan and even the characters often exclaim "oh no, not another one." Will Ferrell, sporting a facelift, seems to be the only one decently cast for this. Ryan is way over-qualified and Octavia Spencer - just how did they talk her into her role?! Again, this could've been Great with better casting and much less singing.

I managed to last 20 minutes in front of this typical hypocritical algo-generated marketing-driven outpouring of contrived moralism packaged in feel-good cognitive dissonance. As repulsive as those fake hugs 'Meuricans give each other. Yuck. And those two "actors"that have been playing the same role for 20 years. Please go away. You've made enough dough for yourselves. Buy some football team or something...oh about that...
