oh my jesus. i love movies like this. all of these kid musicals are exactly the same, but hilarious nevertheless. what i love most about this one is that it appears that the main character isn't aware that this is a nickelodeon movie, and while everyone else is knee-deep in overacting the way a good tween star should, he's playing like this is a real movie. except when he sings... then he goes crazy. brilliant. i'd see it again.

The songs might be better than HSM, but there wasn't much substance to this movie, in my opinion.

Why does eveyone have to jump on the whole High School Musical band wagon? I'm sorry but you can tell me as much as you want, I'm never going to believe that those kids are at all popular. Some of those kids weren't dorky enough actually. The songs were marginal, and I think the crowd is getting to young to get the Jazz hands references that these movies keep making.
