Definitely worth watching if you enjoy horror. The cinematography, style and dialogue are all flawless, and each of the stories very interesting. However I feel like it did miss a punch - the ending somehow suggesting it explains the start, it still leaves a lot of unanswered questions and other than geographically does not really tie the stories together (and yet they are too similar to be completely separate stories). With anthologies, I feel you either have to neatly tie it all together (where all the stories give one piece to the same puzzle or attribute to the same phenomenon) or they need to be clearly separate stories where there is no mistake you're dealing with something completely different every time. This simply is neither and kind of leaves you unsatisfied, good as it is.

Feels like an incomplete exercise in Twilight Zone pastiche. If you're down for 90 minutes of blood soaked comeuppance, satanic cults and alternate realties, then the film might be of interest. Otherwise, non-genre aficionados beware.

I've seen this several times now and I really like this anthology. For a low-budget B-movie, it is surprisingly effective. There are a couple of parts that are truly difficult to watch and the level of foreboding, dread, and downright creepiness are inspired. For having a low budget, the special effects are incredibly disturbing. This will mess with you.

If you liked V/H/S (2012), well you're bound to love this one, it has the same eerie, unsafe feeling to it, and the same type of weird, creepy stories, although this one ain't found footage. While Southbound does have a few flaws, most notably ,the CGI effects, which are bad, it's an entertaining film, and while it is a gory movie, it doesn't just rely on that, but also on paranoia and suspense. I like how the 5 tales all interlock one in an other, reminds me a bit of the great Pulp Fiction (1994). To be fair, Southbound is a creative horror effort and we could very well put it in the list of the best horror movies of 2016. Cool film and recommended !!

Horror anthology done right. All the segments melded together very well. Felt like a very R rated twighlight zone episode with loads of suspense and blood.
