Sorry to Bother You is amazing. It's George Saunders meets Do The Right Thing in style. In subject, its original and important, championing a modern vision of the labor movement in a not so unfamiliar future where large corporations have tipped the power scales so far against workers that they are signing their lives away for the guarantee of any kind of "worry free" job security. The film is a voice we need at the time when we need it most. It's smart, totally original (both in style and in the topics it tackles) and thought provoking. It was my favorite film of the year and I hope it opens the floodgates for more films reflecting on America's unique brand of late-stage capitalism.

Strange as hell but utterly brilliant, it's unlike anything anyone has seen as of late, complete with strong acting, stylish direction, and a bombastic soundtrack.

To be clear, this movie is weird, and you most certainly have to be smart enough to pick up on the fact that the horse people twist is an amazing metaphor for the fact that big companies only care about profitability and will "work you like a horse". This movie is amazing. It hits all the right notes and is the perfect commentary on capitalism and corrupt business in general.

What we're left with is a bizarre, angry and surprisingly disorganised film that prioritises themes over storytelling. Pity.
