Count how many drinks he has, how many old criminals he runs into, and how many times they make an innuendo (subtle, but they're in there).

Genuinely liked this series of amateur sleuthing films, but it was starting to show a bit of tiredness at this point. Notable for roles for a young Keenan Wynn and a very young Dean Stockwell, as well as a small part for one of my favourite actresses Gloria Grahame.

Final installment in the sextet. While it is true that it is not as good as the other films, it is definitely worth seeing. Myrna Loy is beautiful as always and Asta is unbelievably more adorable. I'm really glad husbands and wives don't sleep in separate beds anymore though.

Favorite of the series; a must see for the musician slang.

I accidently watched the series out of order with the last two. This installment was on the more boring side, as Nick and Nora get pulled into a murder on an ocean liner. There's less structure and flow than the previous films, and the perpetrator simply confesses in the climax rather than having Nick assemble all the suspects. It was semi entertaining, but nothing special.
