Only someone like Michael Douglas can take this lothario role and make it extremely memorable (and somewhat and somehow likable) and be one of his finest pieces of work that he's done in his long career. He has great support from the likes of Susan Sarandon, Danny DeVito, Jesse Eisenberg, Mary Louise Parker, Jenna Fischer, & an amazing find in Imogen Poots who steals the film.

Michael Douglas perfectly portrays a guy with so many flaws, it's hard to keep track...selfish, greedy, wicked, sleazy, oblivious to morality. But you will find yourself rooting for him and hoping that he gets his act together. However, a guy like that will rarely change...

Sad and often disturbing to watch Michael Douglas's character's life dissolve. The problem is that it is all his fault and I'm not sure he ever figures that out. Lot's of good supporting roles, although we don't see very much of Mary-Louise Parker or Susan Sarandon.
