Likely very memorable during the war days. Here we have the tale of pining away for people who have gone overseas without modern communication to let you know immediately about potential fateful events. Nice music as well.

Long and depressing. Woolley is good as the grouch who moves in with the girls. Never was a big fan of Jennifer Jones, but the other two are good, as is Cotten. The last scene always draws out the tears. . .

This is a wonderful movie about those who held down the home front during WWII. Claudette Colbert is so beautiful and wonderful. Jennifer Jones and Shirley Temple and Joseph Cotten and Robert Walker -- they are all wonderful. I love this movie.
