Showcase on the grimier side of society with abrupt violence flashing out between scenes. The tragic ending once again emphasizes that crime does not pay.

Not to be missed! Its a brutal movie however, the story line is fantastic, action packed & full of tension. Jackie Chan & Daniel Wu really show that they are great actors. Bravo again to Jackie Chan!!!!!

shinjuku incident is a dark but pretty entertaining story of chinese immigrants in tokyo in the 90s. jackie chan does his best to act, but somehow the teary scenes in which he tries to squeeze out his eyes doesn't really impress. ok but just not impressed. it's also kinda strange when the usual martial arts exponent he is getting beat and he doesn't dish out to his enemies the usual kungku kicks. daniel wu shows he is indeed one of the finer young actors in HK these days with his character turning from meek lamb trying to do good to a meek lamb trying to act bad and tough. the way in which his transition happened is the most impressionable part of the movie and i cannot help but feel sorry for the way things turned out in the end.

In the end Jackie dies, I think this was his best acting to date, he stayed away from a highly skilled invincible Kung Fu Master into this very tragic immigrant. THis was a shift away from his typical ways, and I would say it worth it. I like this movie entirely. Worth watching!!!!!

This movie is fantastic! Probably has to be my favorite Jackie Chan movies, also one of my favourite movies of all time. It had a great storyline and kept most of the violence to the end. Overall 10/10 movie.
