Sea Wife (1957)

In 1942, a cargo ship jammed with British evacuees from Singapore is sunk by a Japanese sub. A small lifeboat carries a beautiful woman, an army officer, a bigoted administrator, and a black seaman. Only the seaman knows the woman is a nun. The men reveal their true selves under the hardships of survival. Told in a too-long flashback frame.

wow umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch.....its got a good cast of actors/actressess thorughout this movie.....i think that ronald squire, ronald adam, richard burton, joan hickson, nicholas hannen, nora nicholson, basil sydney, joan collins, cy grant play good roles/parts throughout this movie....i think that the director of this drama/romance/comedy/classics movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie because this is a really good movie 2 watch with a good cast throughout

One of those movies which is supposed to be deep in meaning on several levels, it fails miserably, and although not unwatchable, it isn't memorable.

Pointless semi romance. The cast is set adrift in a raft and the movie just sort of drifts with them. Burton and Joan try but it's all just meaningless.
