This documentary about acid attacks in Pakistan against women by their husbands manages to inform on its niche subject. I felt moved to action even though it's a pretty obscure cause. Worthy of its Oscar.

It's absolutely unthinkable that these women are being put through this. We need more doctors and organizations out there helping them.

An unbelievable documentary on the lives of women who have survived acid attacks in Pakistan. They are left disfigured and their lives ruined, and yet the culprits have gone largely unpunished. This details the process of surgery to restore one woman's face, and the prosecution of her attacker - her husband. Sad, infuriating, and ultimately uplifting.

How sad to see the violence inflicted on these women just because they don't want to be abused by their husbands or they want to move on from a relationship.
