Savage Grace (2007)

This examination of a famous scandal from the 1970s explores the relationship between Barbara Baekeland and her only son, Antony. I saw this movie at the Belcourt Theater in Nashville, and without any notion of what it was about - it completely caught me off guard. This could easily be the most difficult role ever portrayed by an actress, and Julianne Moore is brilliant in this true story about Barbara Daly Baekeland.

Oh. My. God. The performances are amazing. The story is ultra-shocking. Even more so because it is true.

Good acting makes this disturbing family drama to an interesting 1,5 hours in the cinema darkness. In addition you get very nice environments of the rich in America and Europe.

Are you kidding me people? This movie was incredibly done. Julianne Moore more out there rolls. I found this movie to be intriguing and disturbing. I thought the acting was mind blowing!

Movie based on the true story of eccentric Barbara Daly Baekeland, in this film Julianne Moore (the reason of my 5 star rating) one my favorite actress shows an incredibly acting performance to prove WHY she is a multi-Oscar nominated performer in this challenging role. A really dark psychotic relationship with her son. Very disturbing to the extreme, a visual tour of a dysfunctional creepy family.
