Absolute entertainment with documentary features. Wonderful colors and music. 'Brazil in watercolor' is amazing! Jose Carioca is my favourite cartoon character.

A weak effort from Disney animation that seems more at home as an educational television special (A la "Donald in Mathmagic Land") than as a feature film. A few light and sometimes enjoyable shorts are poorly thrown together in this cinematic exploration of South American culture in the 1940's.

Well done film that feels more like a documentary with cartoon shorts than a film but good none the less. Donald and Goofy are always enjoyable.

Though it is little more than a collection of four shorts, it is nicely tied together by the narration, and the shorts themselves are quite good. The animation is strong and they manage to be both entertaining and educational. It's certainly worth checking out.

Just discussing vintage Goofy cartoons not but a few hours ago, we can see from simple short films like this why so many imitations fall by the wayside. These artists fraternized with the countries, the people and the music they encountered and managed to tell a good tale in between. This is like Galileo at his telescope.
