When two worlds meet, it leads the tragedy, love and affection, but also sexuality and brutality. It is at times crude, but nevertheless even though it is a movie about the difficulty of giving and trust - an amazing French movie with a wonderful soundtrack. There is so much happening and so it is almost impossible to reveal something about the plot, because it would ruin the movie experience for those who intend to see it. My first cinema on the third day of the year is a 5, a masterpiece.

Rust and Bone is as powerful as films get. It features the best performances of 2012 from both Marion Cotillard and Matthias Schoenaerts, they are amazing. Marion Cotillard again displays some of the best acting to ever grace the screen with her complex emotions and Matthias is incredible in displaying raw emotion. This film is not the usual love story but it is certainly the most powerful love story I have seen in years. The cinematography is beautiful and the dialogue is some of the best I have seen, one thing though is I will never listen to the song fireworks by Katy Perry, they way the director combines that song with Marion and Matthias is truly awe inspiring. I can't really say anything else other than you must see this film if you love good performances or just an amazing love story. 5/5!

One of the best French movies in 2012. Matthias Schoenaerts has an enourmous presence on the screen... He actually fades out Marion Cotillard. She, also has a presence that comes comforting the feeling for the spectator to be a part of that movie. Overall, Jacques Audiard gives us a deep thought about looks and love. Not a usual kind of love, but one of the best, for sure.
