It feels incomplete, which makes sense under the circumstances, but it doesn't work well together. It doesn't give leave to any of the ends in the Macross saga, nor does it give enough story or action to stand on its own. It's a decent attempt on tie in the story arches of the show, but ultimately it needs more.

Well done but sadly an incomplete project with only 3 out of 65 scripted episodes made/animated. Truly a sadly lost chance to tell a new chapter in the Macross heroes story.
