His life in shambles after youthful dreams of becoming a golf champion yield disappointing results, bored stock exchange worker Seungwan receives a second chance at success after a freak accident puts his life back on track. Severely beaten after inexplicably angering local mob boss Ma Gangseong, Seungwan passes out after meeting a man who appears to be his clone. Upon regaining consciousness, Seungwan learns that the life he knew is no more; he is no longer a miserable failure, but a famous golf champion. Though his marriage had been heading down a rocky road for some time, his new found success and passion finds him and his wife Jiyeong falling back in love. Though everything suddenly seems to be falling into place for Seungwan, an upcoming golf championship threatens to unravel his ideal world unless he is able to pull it all together for one shot at a life of happiness.

Irons was decent here, but was much better in Dead Ringers. It's intriguing to say the least

Good though Alan Dershowitz is a jerk; the movie doesn't show this accurately...

Though its pace is all over the place and story is bit off setting, this strange film does well with its direction from Schroeder, wonderful writing, and most of all powerful performances from Irons and Close.

Le mystere repose davantage sur la personnalite de von Bulow que sur l'affaire : du film on ressort plutot convaincus qu'il est innocent, car peu de temps est accorde a la these inverse, et parce que, et c'est dommage, la repugnance que ses propres avocats eprouvent pour lui n'apparait que comme etant superficielle.

A great true mystery and human drama. This is a film with a very interesting structure, not a simple flashback narrative or a straightforward story, but something original altogether. Ron Silver is great as a defense lawyer with a lot of personality and the way he conducts his investigation is very interesting. The film does not focus on a jury trial but on the appeal process, which is something that isn?t seen on film very often. Jeremy Irons won an Oscar for his portrayal of the accused murderer, and for good reason. Whatever happened to Jeremy Irons? His career has not been good lately. The film is never dry or boring in its procedural, there is a sly wit to the whole film. My only complaint is that I would have liked a more firm focus on Ron Silver, as good as Irons is, the story of what happened to these rich people doesn?t interest me as much as Silver?s investigation.
