Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation (1992)

The nerds are now in control of the university, as a result of Lewis Skolnick and the rest's actions in the two previous movies. A new generation of sportsmen arrive, however, determined on winning the school back. The principle, himself an ex-nerd fighter, helps them, and the nerds return to suppression. Harold Skolnick needs help from his uncle Lewis, the hero of the first two movies. Lewis, however, are not too proud of his nerd past, and won't reveal any of it, much less help his nephew. However, his wife makes him change his mind, and with help from his friends from the first two movies, they start the fight to win the school back, using classic nerd tricks.

Okay, so this is not as good as the first two, but I would say that this sequel teams better with the Nerds movies than Temple Of Doom does with Indy flicks - dig? This is a genuine Nerds movie, complete in all respects. And, my VCR still spins this tape now and then.

For the 3rd installment in a series, and a made for TV movie... this one's pretty good. While they left room, for a "new generation" to take the place of the freshman nerds, they did the right thing by bringing back all the originals (even if for just cameos in some cases). It was also fun to see how the whole campus praised nerds, and the jocks were socially uncool. The reversal was really original, but could only exist in this alternate universe.

Really?! The first was good, but the 2nd sucked so why would they make a 3rd?

Where to begin on the uselessness of this movie

Pretty terrible - nothing new or funny at all! At least Booger's back - but that's not saying much!
