Good for a sequel. Very funny and original kills again. But it still was not as good as the original by a long shot.

Not sure why we needed to return to sleepaway camp. Bad acting all around, while it was funny and charming in the first one. it was just plain bad in this one. And for some reason they used CGI in some places and it stuck out. Also the "twist" you could see coming a mile away.

Man was I looking forward to this. The original was very good. Just watch the intro where they set up the camp. The isolated grounds and cabins surrounded by tall grass was very eerie which set up the finale very well. The camp setting even blew the Friday The 13th set to pieces. In this we are introduced to camp with a bunch of little punk wankers setting their farts alight inside a cabin. I wanted to like this, but the characters who were whiney and overly annoying made that a difficult task. The kill scenes were great and had a splash of humor thrown into them much like the sequels, but that was all I really liked. The killer was predictable too and I don't normally see those things coming. It was good to have Robert Hiltzik back to direct his creation, but he only made this half work. **SPOILER AHEAD** It was obvious the cop was the killer. His/her face was obviously fake and it was the only character that felt out of place. Though I liked the fact that it was Angela dressed up as the cop since I disliked Pamela Springsteen as Angela.

It's a loving reboot for the hardcore fans... but it's still not very good. Some interesting kills help keep it entertaining.

Mediocre acting, terrible CGI, and awful scares make this film bad when the plot was actually good! I enjoyed Sleepaway Camp 1, 2, and 3, but this movie, Return to Sleepaway Camp, is just horrible! Plus, this movie ignores the events of the 2nd and 3rd films.
