Reign of Assassins (2010)

Set in ancient China, Zeng Jing is a skilled assassin who finds herself in possession of a mystical Buddhist monk's remains. 8/10: One of the best Wuxia films in recent years after many mediocre ones. Great storyline, in-depth character development, and action choreography. Brilliant!

There's little about Chao-Bin's other work to suggest the splendidly choreographed ballets of swordplay that feature here, with Woo's dexterous hand obvious in the fight scenes.

Sweeping and multi-layered like a great martial art story should be. Ladies and gentlemen, don't judge a book by its cover. That is more than very true in this movie!
