Watching a film in the ancient China genre is very much like watching a western; the stories are all quite similiar. But they're still fun to watch, as was Jianyu.

The best fighting tale from China that I have seen in years. Great action, solid story, not too many gaps or unanswered questions, this movie is a "must-see" if you enjoy this type of movies.

Very good story line. As I did not see any trailers and read any synopsis, I got all the surprises the story intended for the audience. It must be one of the best Chinese martial arts movie of 2010. Highly recommended.
