The movie reminds me of the wacko' s at that souls harbor church I was made to go to.

Those who like Kevin Smith style of heavy dialogue and "purist" camera style (can't think of another way to put it- he likes filming via hand held or low budget camera style so it has a different feel than typical Hollywood) then you'll more than likely like this movie. Smith likes taking on controversial topics and exploring several at a time in one film so that it addresses the ridiculousness of the extremes against each other. It's character driven, thought provoking and ironic. The sum of it's parts outshines the movie whole in my opinion.

I don't see why people are complaining saying this was a bad movie when in fact it's a great movie. It's different from other Kevin Smith films it's more of a serious movie than comedy. Red State is about religious fanatics who justify their actions with God. This movie is a one of a kind I've never seen a movie like Red State. I haven't seen many films about religious fanatics or cults that's why I think this is such a great film.
