Honestly, this is the best movie I’ve watched in a while! It was so unique and awe-inspiring. The humour was cute and genuine, and the message this movie held was so powerful and beautiful. I wasn’t bored for a second. Even if you’re not a Disney fan, this is a must-see. The characters are so lovable, the plot was really engaging and the animation was superb. Overall, it was phenomenal. I adore this movie.

For all the enchanting elements, the kooky lovable sidekicks, and spirited voice performances from Awkwafina and Tran — the warmth shaking the ash from this well-worn story is the gift of family. The family we are born with. The family we make. The Southeast Asian-inspired “Raya and the Last Dragon” conjures some much-needed magic for a modicum of fun.

The movie relies on its pretty visuals to tell the story, which damages everything else in the movie, Raya's character development is a least a bit interesting, but besides her I didn't care for a single other character, and the plot is a bit weak, but the character design and music are very good, which kind of saves the movie for me.
