This movie is absolutely amazing and anyone who has ever had to sit through 3 hours of unrealistic crap inc. sudden exploding synchronised dance sequences will appreciate it twice as much. It's a calm and very realistic view of life from two Devdas-type lovers who never got to be. Not sugar-coated at all, hence why it didn't do so well. Rai and Devgan give it their best and their talent shines through the theatrical settings.

Devgan is suitably restless and restrained. Aishwarya looks beautiful without the pancake. But her persona feels contrived right down to that bra strap popping from behind the sari pallu.

An interesting movie! Filled with despair and tragedy for one man who loved his childhood sweetheart for several years, but couldn't do anything for her marriage to another embarks. Intriguing story plot. Sadly, the tales of the two in this movie is so intertwined that you feel remorse for them both. Great performances by Aishwarya Rai and Ajay Devgan.

The ancient story of gift of the magi comes alive in an emotinally beautiful, rainy projection. Love at its sacrificing best in a beautiful movie. Who said subcontinental films are cheesy only!
