This film set the standard for which all musical biography must follow. Even though Jamie Foxx was dubbed in this, and Phoenix did his own singing in "Walk The Line" Ray seems more authentic. This film, as most films do, took some creative licenses with facts, but still it presented a great portrait of the man, which is what a film generally does. I think this film is true art.

The acting was so incredible i thought it actually was Ray's life at times. A fantastic biopic which was brilliantly directed by Hackford. Very moving and inspiring with a lovely finish. Must see film. (Georgia on my mind = one of my favourite songs)

I have seen this movie, Ray Charles is an awesome pianist and this is a great tribute to him.
