Man this was one of the best "Imatations of Life." Fox nailed this one and it was so sick how he did. It's like he was born for the role. All the right characters and definitely a real look at the toll that Stardom can take on people. There's a price that's paid for sharing your talent or gift with the whole world, no matter who you are.

This film is incredibly strong in every aspect of it. Jamie Foxx's performance as Ray Charles is perfect, and his Oscar was justly earned. The decision to have Ray haunted so vividly by his brother's death was genius, and the resolution of his guilt created such a touching feeling seldom felt during a movie. A+
