The main characters are simply named The Husband, The Wife and The Kidnapper, emphasizing the disappointingly generic nature of the entire effort.

Gritty, realistic and really excellent performances, especially Drea de Matteo, she is really superb. Good story, fast pace, interesting.

Like any self-respecting Ferrara film, 'R Xmas has its intimations of hellfire, yet it's a weirdly benign Christmas fable -- something like "Miracle on 134th Street."

Abel Ferrara nos entrega otra fabula urbana, esta vez con menos sangre y sexo, pero con una excelente actuacion de Drea Di Mateo (The Sopranos) y un ambiente perversamente navideno.
