One of the most devastating movie experiences to date. I've watched it twice, and I don't know if I'll ever get completely over it. To top it off, it has a tragic love story, which I adore.

Rebellious, perverse, sad, and dark its one of my favorites lol.One of Joaquin Phoenix's best movies and Geoffrey Rush and Kate Winslet are brillaint as usual.

One of my favorite movies. The cast is amazing. Geoffrey Rush was robbed. I can't take my eyes off him. He is both subtle and over the top. It must have been exhausting. That the other actors keep up with him is really saying something, and they do it with great aplomb. I also like how it is the Priest who is a good guy and the Man of Science who is a bad guy. Plus I identify with Madeleine. "If I wasn't such a bad woman on the page, I'll hazard I couldn't be such a good woman in life." Definitely not for everyone as it deals with mature subjects.
