No. Just no. This movie had a lot of potential to be an awesome thriller but Denham really screwed the pooch. The first 20 minutes were decent but then the actual "thriller" part of the movie starts. Why not make a movie where these characters make real person decisions? Both sides make the dumbest decisions throughout. One minute the 'bad guys' have super human strength and the next they're caught in an obvious trap. The recently discharged veteran can't follow through on a kill even after he says "you killed my dog, now I kill you"? This movie made me angry. So many plot holes and missed opportunities to make a believable movie. I can't say I'll ever watch a movie written by Christopher Denham ever again.

Until its characters behave illogically in the third act and the direction shows suspense fatigue, Preservation displays a flinty resolve to be better than your average woodsy-nightmare thriller.

Good time worn trope, executed too exactly to be entertaining. Every scene was foreshadowing, interesting premise with the villains, message too obvious and too be clever for its own good. Was fun to see the old hunter becoming the hunted again though.

A lone woman struggles to survive in the forest as 3 teens try to hunt her down just for fun. But as fate places the woman in the circumstance she is in, she is forced to fight back and avenge the death of her husband and his brother, who were both killed by the teens in this suspense thriller.

I thought this might be pretty standard in the 'hunted by lunatic in the woods' department but it had some pretty clever angles. Fast-paced and understated.Try not to watch the trailer to preserve more of the mystery.
