Interesting plot. The romance element was a little strained at times and the ending was sad.

A fun and different story. I liked Aaron Eckhart and Gwyneth Paltrow was surprisingly good. I liked how the two stories mixed.

I never compare movies and books if possible. The point of the movie is that it is "based on" the book, not that it is an exact replica of the book. Therefore, taking it for what it was, a love story with a fun treasure hunt mixed in, intrigue, betrayal, and some very interesting twists, I give it five stars for being an absolute delight to watch.
