When ladies' man David Mitchell (Paul Campbell) gives his lonely grandfather, Joe (Andy Griffith), some pointers on dating, Joe becomes a big hit with the women in his retirement community. But David strikes out with his own tricks when he tries to woo a girl named Julie (Marla Sokoloff). Now it's up to Joe to teach his grandson how to win at love without playing games. Ultimately it's sunk by the hole in the middle: Paul Campbell (presidential aide Billy on "Battlestar Galactica") who substitutes smarm for charm as the archetypal player who gets played.

A charming little film but it got kind of sickening in at least one part. Mostly because I could see my grandpa as the old man XP

I really enjoyed this movie! There were a lot of really funny parts as the grandson tried to teach his 80+ year old grandfather his suave dating tricks. I think that this would be a terrific date-night movie. I also think that Andy Griffith and Doris Roberts fans would enjoy this movie very much! A great movie for the young and "young at heart".

I have seen this movie 2 times and I love it!! Number 1, I am a big Andy Griffith fan and was glad to see he can still make me laugh at 84 yrs old! Number 2 it's a GREAT movie to watch with your girlfriend! It's not a boring chick flick either it keeps you laughing through out. I was surprised to see this movie get such a low score :( it's not a great movie but it's very good and very enjoyable! The girl in the lead role is smoking hot too!! That's always nice for us guys :)
