An informative documentary for the beloved toys.

I'm not entirely sure how I found my way to this fun little documentary, but I'm certainly glad that I did, as this behind the scenes look at the world of this very specific genre of collecting was a helluva lot of fun. As someone who collected the toys as a kid but who hasn't returned to them, it made for a nice nostalgic viewing and told me a lot of interesting anecdotes that I otherwise would have had no idea about. Well worth a look, track this one down.

Most of the information disseminated in Plastic Galaxy is well known. While there are some interesting tidbits from former employees of Kenner, only the most devout Star Wars toy enthusiasts will be interested in the proceedings. I enjoyed seeing some of the toys from my youth, but I felt like the collectors were "showing off" more than actually providing any useful information related to the toys.
