Perversion for Profit (1965)

Centered around a vehement diatribe against pornography delivered by news reporter George Putnam, the film attempts to link explicit portrayals of human sexuality to the subversion and decline of American civilization, and briefly draws a parallel between pornography and Communist infiltration. Perversion for Profit illustrates its claims with still images taken from various softcore pornography magazines of the period-- though, 'sensitive' parts of the human anatomy have been obscured by colored bars. The film is in the public domain, and has become a popular download from the Prelinger Archives.

The Reefer Madness for pornography, trying to have and uphold the moral high-ground but dives into hilarity

"Outstanding news reporter" George Putnam rails against the insidious evils of pornography with hilariously entertaining gusto in this camp classic educational film. Putnam exposes the evils of girlie magazines, homosexuals, and even reveals the links between smut peddlers and the Communist conspiracy. A funny and fascinating look at the hypocrisy of an era.

A time capsule of morality - though I had thought this was done in the early 1950's. Parents of young children will empathize with Putnam's disgust. Many of the mis-information specialists in the 21st century now use the same tactics to validate urban myths which ultimately lead to poor societal choices.
