One year after his young son disappeared during a Halloween carnival, Mike Cole is haunted by eerie images and terrifying messages he can't explain. Si Nicolas Cage se montre enfin un peu intéressant à l'écran, chose qui ne lui était pas arrivé depuis longtemps, Pay the Ghost s'avère tout de même un film sans grand intérêts pour les amateurs d'horreur

Pay the Ghost, out in very limited release today, is a new low for Nicolas Cage. Just when you thought he couldn’t get any more apathetic about a role, he pops up in this lazy, boring retread of “Insidious” that even his most diehard fans should ignore.

In yet another new film featuring Nicolas Cage we step into watching Pay the Ghost (2015). Though like watching any film with actor Nicolas cage it's always like watching every film he acts in, does he ever change roles? For the most part if you're a fan of Nicolas Cage then you know how well the film is already, though I can say it did turn out pretty good for a family friendly haunting flick. The story for the most part was laidback and easygoing. The cinematics were as good as any film that showcases Mr Cage, the film is simple and basic. I cannot say this is a bad movie because it is not, and I cannot say that it is a great movie because it is not; it's an average movie.

A simple missing child case mixed with an abrupt mix of a supernatural cause to the specific effect, connected by a sorrowful revelation, cheap jumps and illogic dimension that just doesn't fit. It's still an okay film that satisfies with the decent, relatable performances and eeriness. (B-) (Full review TBD)
