One year after his young son disappeared during a Halloween carnival, Mike Cole is haunted by eerie images and terrifying messages he can't explain. No film shows better why Nicolas Cage is in bankruptcy than this: a horror film devoid of plot and pace, without any surprises, copying ideas from other films of the genre.

I'm not a fan of horror movies in general, but this was particularly poor. The storyline was weak and full of typical film cliches. In addition to that, it was visually unappealing, the CGI vultures looked horrible and weren't all that necessary, so they should have opted to leave them out if that was the best they could make them look. The characters were characterised quite poorly, you never get to know any characters, there is seemingly nothing unique or interesting and you are just sort of told "she's mad at him" "she forgives him" without really seeing it happen. Cage never showed any fear either, he was not supposed to be playing an action hero, just an ordinary guy, so it didn't really make sense for him to be so neutral all the time. All round, it was a poor movie and I would not recommend wasting any time or money on it.
