The gay coming-of-age story's been done, but "Pariah" has something fresh to say, largely about the knotty complexities of love, and how they might keep someone in the closet: How badly do you need to be free, to hurt the people you love?

Meryl Streep gave a "shout out" to Adepero Oduye the star of "Pariah" and Kim Wayans was also Oscar worthy. This is a great movie that deals with the hardships of youth. Brilliant.

An amazing story for modern day families. This movie is about growing up and finding the courage to find yourself. It's visually amazing too and the acting feels so real it's like you know these people.
