Despite what I said about PA2 and what it needs to do in order to still scare, PA3 still has the fear factor by using new camara scenes, so theres and least new ideas here to still thrill. Yet again, the latest Paranormal Activity film ( like the first 2 ) uses the same method to scare by weird activity, but this time the activity used in this film scares even more due to the more violent and bigger bumbs. PA4 will certainly have to go into a different direction now that we've gotton used to the same thrills, and theres loads of new directions to go from now.

Who would of thought that we would a third Paranormal Activity film it's the film series that just keeps delivering! This time we go back to the 1980's to find out just how this demon we are following first came to meet Katie and her family. It's brilliant and super scary no matter how many times you see it. I have seen it the cinemas last year but find it better to watch at home with no annoying 15 year olds in the room. I also think it has a better effect at your own home but all the Paranormal Activity films have a better effect when you watch them at your own house. It's more or less the same as the other two with doors slamming at night and people getting dragged across the floor just what we have came to expect from the series. Fans of the series will like this film and I suppose if you haven't seen the first two I suppose you could start here then go to number 1,2 and 4 as this one is a prequel to the others. Watch it the films great and the ending scared the crap out of me it still scares me now a year after when I first saw it!

Going even deeper into its mythology, the third movie is certainly sacrificing the things which made the second so scary to develop a more interesting story. By the end of this movie my teeth were clenched together so hard that my jaw was hurting. Pure terror and dread up until a spine chilling climax make this movie the most effective, although not the scariest.

If you're coming to this movie expecting to get your mind-blown with innovative cinema... you're an idiot. Of course you're not gonna see any of that, there is a 3 at the end of the title after all. So from that end, it's a given, that it's going to seem familiar, but if you're going to this movie expecting a good time, it delivers extremely well. It's like going to a haunted house maze, but without the added stress of walking around. It's a creepy roller coaster ride of anxious turns and things that go bump in the night. And yes, it's scary. I yelled out loud at one of them. And there's a pleasant balance of plug your ears, holy-crap-I'm-going-to-sh*t-myself scares, as well as the ones that make you laugh and make fun of your friends next to you for jumping. This movie's a great time, and anybody who doesn't think so, should just stop being a sourpuss and live a little.
