Его зовут Николай Звягин. Он талантливый гитарист-самоучка, работает в милиции. Жизнь героя круто меняется после семейной драмы, связанной с изменой жены. Оказавшись в тюрьме, Звягин знакомится с влиятельным и уважаемым на зоне человеком, к которому идет работать в службу охраны после того, как честно отсидел свой срок. Как-то вечером в баре он знакомится с красивой девушкой и проводит с ней страстную ночь в отеле на краю города. Она оказывается законной женой его хозяина.
