Overdrive provides just enough crash-and-burn stunt action to satisfy undemanding thrill-seekers, but not much else.

Roll up, roll up for another game of action-movie cliché bingo, the game in which little-known directors try to squeeze as many genre platitudes into a 90-minute slot as they can.

Untaxing as drama, thin as entertainment, but modestly enjoyable as a revved-up caper movie, Overdrive is pure escapist fluff with a light French accent. Which still makes it smarter, leaner and cooler than any of the Fast and the Furious films it shamelessly mimics.

WOW! How did this get such bad reviews? It?s a very fun and action - packed film >> my type of movie. Classic cars, fast paced action, good story, good acting! 4 stars!
