Our New President (2018)

The story of Donald Trump's election told entirely through Russian propaganda. By turns horrifying and hilarious, the film is a satirical portrait of Russian meddling in the 2016 election that reveals an empire of fake news and the tactics of modern day information warfare.

However impressive the collection, there's little beyond shock value in watching Russians on vlogs and TV shows praising Trump.

Alex Lines 24 Jul 2018

It's ironic that a film damning the use of propaganda is blatantly propaganda itself, as Pozdorovkin lacks the confidence to let the various clips speak for themselves, using obtrusive techniques to spell out the eerie nature of his footage.

Karl Quinn 07 Aug 2018

It's a scattergun approach that all adds up to compelling evidence of an orchestrated campaign led from the very top.

Peter Howell 22 May 2018

Alternately amuses, shocks and enrages, revealing concerted Russian propaganda efforts, backed by Vladimir Putin's state-controlled media, that range from the comically paranoid to the scarily sophisticated.

Sean P. Means 25 Jan 2018

Eerie how it matches up to Fox/Breitbart talking points.
