Decent fictionalized telling of what we've seen already in the black and white Irish film "The General" starring Brendan Gleeson. Kevin Spacey is almost always interesting to watch (except in Beyond the Sea, where it was too creepy playing a man 20 years his junior) and has a lot of great Irish actors in it. Didn't get much of a release in the States and I'm not sure why, especially with Colin Farrell running around.

Despite a few good scenes, this was a waste of time. I expected more from Spacey.

I think people are too harsh on this movie as people usually are with stories that follow "criminals". It has all the appeal of a Guy Richie film it's fantasy folks quit hating on unconventional heroes.

Kevin Spacey here takes on the role of a lovable Irish gangster with a tendency to have his face on the media and to the chagrin of the police - evade the local constablury with clever and edgy twists and talk. A Surprising crime / comedy, its not Lock Stock but I love Irish based things!!

Entertaining, but some of the accents were unconvincing.... Didn't harm the movie too much though.
